Fall Race Training Camp (Lake Louise, Alberta)

Destination: Lake Louise, Alberta

Dates: Wednesday December 5 – Sunday December 16, 2012

This year the Fall Training Camp will be held in Lake Louise, Alberta (2 hours from Calgary, AB).

This camp is designed to give racers the opportunity to be well prepared for a new season and it will provide the edge in upcoming races. The longer runs, consistent fall line and the opportunity to train with top level coaches will give Horseshoe racers an excellent start to the season. This camp is open to Horseshoe Resort Competitive Program athletes, ages 8 – 20. If your child is outside of the age range, please contact me directly to discuss the training camp. This camp is ideal for those athletes who are dedicated to the sport and wish to compete at a high level and as an individual.

The camp will focus on getting racers back on their skis, free skiing  drills and mileage, mileage, mileage. Lane space will also be available for GS and SL gate training. To attend this camp, the racer must be a competent parallel skier, able to ski all terrain and enrolled in the Horseshoe Resort Competitive Program.

Christmas Race Camp

Program Dates: Thursday December 27 to Sunday December 30, 2012

Program Hours: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (4 hours of lessons daily)

Ages: 6-20 years

This 4 day race ski camp is a great way to refresh your skiing skills before the start of the race season and prior to Time Trials on December 31, 2012. The camp is encouraged for seasoned and new families to the race program at Horseshoe Resort, as it allows athletes to meet each other prior to the beginning of programs. Groups are divided by both age and ability.

Cost (Before October 1): $250

Cost (After October 1): $275

New Years Race Camp

Program Dates: Thursday January 3 - Friday January 4, 2013

Program Hours: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (4 hours of lessons daily)

Ages: 6-20 years

This 2 day race camp is a great way start off the new year. New Years Camp will consist of both free skiing and gate training (giant slalom, kombi and slalom) to prepare for series and team races. These camps are encouraged for both new and seasoned families to allow athletes to meet each other prior to the beginning of programs and to encourage a team atmosphere. Groups are divided by both age and ability.

March Break Race Camp

Program Dates: Monday March 11 - Friday March 15, 2013

Program Hours: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (4 hours of lessons daily)

Ages: 6-20 years

This 5 day race ski camp is a great way to prepare for Spring Series, Easter Classic, Mastermind and other large scheduled races. The camp is encouraged for seasoned and new families to the race program at Horseshoe Resort. Daily hill space will be available and on the Friday, a individual and team race will be organized. Groups are divided by both age and ability.
