Sean Billing
General Manager

Sean joined Skyline in June of 2011 as General Manager at Horseshoe Resort after 18 years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Sean had been the Director of Operations at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier for the 2 years prior to joining our family. This assignment was preceded by an international posting, where Sean served as the Managing Director for Fairmont's hotel portfolio in East Africa. Assignments prior to Africa included Chicago, Calgary and the Alberta Rockies, in which Sean held both operational roles and corporate and regional positions in learning and human resources. Sean is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and studied Hospitality at St. Lawrence College.
   
Mark Laughlin
Assistant General Manager

With over 20 years of Hotel & Resort experience Mark has worked in a number of iconic Canadian resorts including The Fairmont Banff Springs and The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and the The Fairmont Algonquin working in progressive management roles. Also working internationally at The Fairmont Southampton Bermuda and Intercontinental Hotels in Australia. Most recently Mark held the position of Director of Food & Beverage at Casino Rama for the past 4 years.  Mark is a graduated from Georgian College, Hotel and Resort Operations at the Barrie Campus.
 
   
Paul Christiaans
Vice President, Hospitality

Paul has been with Skyline at Horseshoe Resort as the Vice President of Hospitality since August 2009. Prior to that, Paul held the position of Vice President, Food and Beverage. Paul also held the title of Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage from 2005 to 2006 at the Resort. Prior to Horseshoe, Paul worked in a position of Chef de Partie in various fine dine restaurants and one of Toronto's oldest, most famed and historical Hotels, the King Edward.
   
Martin Kimble
Vice President, Operations

Martin has been with Skyline at Horseshoe Resort as the Vice President of Operations since 1999. He also acted as interim General Manager from 1998-1999. Prior to this Martin was in Operations in a capacity of Management and worked as a consultant and a construction manager for Canadian Mountain Planning and Management.
   
Derrick Carmichael
Vice President, Finance

Derrick has been with Skyline at Horseshoe Resort as the Vice President of Finance since 2002. He has been with the resort for 20 years holding other positions in accounting and working his way in to the most senior role in that department.
