Policies




At Horseshoe Resort we have policies in place to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience, we look forward to having you play on our spectacular courses.


Early Arrival

When possible, please arrive 1 hour prior to tee-off, and perhaps warm up your game at our Driving Range and Putting Green.

Soft Spike Only
Soft spikes provide a more enjoyable golf experience for everyone and help to protect our course from damage.

Dress Code
A standard dress code is in effect for all players as follows:
  • Absolutely no jeans of any colour permitted
  • No rugby, track, spandex or sweat pants
  • All shirts must have a collar
  • No t-shirts, tank tops, muscle shirts or halter tops
  • Shorts must have a zippered fly and be of an appropriate length, no cut-offs permitted

Pace of Play
We are committed to providing an enjoyable 4 - 4 1/2 hour round of golf for everyone.  Our course Marshall will assist you with the pace of play.

Course Etiquette
Please replace all divots and repair ball marks.  We are committed to providing a well manicured course for all golfers and appreciate your help in this matter.

Alcohol
Our golf course and clubhouse facilities are fully licensed.  Horseshoe Resort promotes responsible consumption of alcohol ensuring a safe environment for all Resort guests and staff.  Further, we are committed to observing and enforcing all laws and regulations regarding the consumption of alcohol as set forth by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and the Province of Ontario.  Alcoholic beverages brought onto or given away on the golf course are in direct violation of these laws and will be confiscated immediately.  For your convenience, on-course beverage cart service is available.

Rain Check Policy
Rain checks will be issued based on the following guidelines: 
  • If a player has played less than 9 holes, an 18 hole rain check will be issued
  • If a player has played more than 9 holes, a 9 hole rain check will be issued
  • Rain checks will be available to players after 30 minutes of continuous rain
  • Rain checks must be used in the calendar year that they are issued and can only be extended by the Director of Golf Operations
