Do I need to pre-book my child into lessons?

Reservations are required for all lessons. Please contact 705-835-2790 ext 1286 to book. Space is limited and weekends/holidays can sell out quickly so we recommend you book as much in advance as you are comfortable with.

Does my child need to wear a helmet during the lesson?

Helmets are mandatory of all students in any Kids Korral lesson and are included in the cost of rental. If you are sending your child with their own helmet please make sure that it is a snow sports specific helmet that fits. Hockey helmets and bike helmets will not be accepted.

Does my child needs a lift ticket?

A valid lift ticket required for all students in any lesson at Horseshoe. Students ages 5 years and under will be provided a free of change lift ticket for the day. Students ages 6 and up and purchase the lesson and lift package that includes junior lift ticket at a discounted rate. 

What are your policies about allergies?

Kids Korral is a peanut free zone as much as possible. We ask that anyone sending their kids with lunch or snacks please keep this in mind when deciding what to send your child with. We cannot guarantee that your child will not come in contact with a nut product so please contact us to discuss what additional precautions can be made during snack and lunch times. 

We recommend that if your child has specific food allergies or food preferences you send them with their own lunch and snacks for the day. 

How do I know if my child is ready for lessons? 

Children must be willing to attend lessons. You want the experience to be a positive one so make sure they are excited about lessons and want to learn. Students as young as 3 years old can attend the Ponies morning lessons. 

All students in Kids Korral must be toilet trained and able to use the washroom independently.

Children must be dressed appropriately for the weather and we recommend that an extra set of gloves or mittens be dropped off with your child on wet or slushy days. Goggles and a neck warmer are highly recommended on cold days. You can also purchase hand and toe warmers for your child at the Tee to Ski retail shop in the main chalet. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be done more than 24 hours in advance of your booked lesson to receive a full refund. 

Cancellations can only be done during the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm by contacting the Kids Korral office at 705-835-2790 ext 1286. 

If you cancel before 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled lesson date, your booking can be rescheduled only for a $8 administration fee. 

There are no refunds or rescheduling options available for any cancellations made after the 4:00 pm day before cut off for any reason.

There are no refunds for inclement weather.

Can my child keep skiing or snowboarding after the lesson?

Kids Korral rentals are only for use during lesson times. To use rentals outside of the lesson time the extended rental option must be purchased for $12. Equipment must be returned to the main chalet rental by 9:00 pm on the day of the lesson.

Kids Korral lift tickets are an unlimited junior lift ticket that is valid from open to close on the day of the lesson.  

Can I join my child in the lesson?

We ask that parents not participate directly in the lesson. You are more than welcome to watch but we ask you do this from a distance. This space allows your child and the other children in the class to focus on the instructor without distractions.
