    Horseshoe Resort has developed a very successful competitive Racing program. Year after year, young athletes look forward to joining coaches and teammates for another season of fun and friendship while aspiring to become the best they can be. We also offer non-competitive, entry-level racing programs for young skiers such as the popular Development Squad. Our goal is to encourage people of all ages and levels of ability to develop strong technical skills, while having fun in the process.





    Our enthusiastic and certified coaches will focus on:
    * Enhancing self-esteem and confidence in each athlete.
    * Teaching individuals to be disciplined, resilient and self-reliant
    * Physical fitness, nutrition, mental fitness and learning life skills
    * Developing life long friendships through teams

    RACING PROGRAMS

    Development Squad (Weekends) - Ages 5yrs-13 Sat . & Sun.
    Introduces youths to the strong skills required to compete at alpine competitive events such as racing, freestyle or freeriding. Emphasis is on having fun while focusing on developing strong skiing technique. No racing experience required and NO TRAVEL required. This 8 week program includes an introduction to gates, Olympic Day and participation in a skills development day. Helmets are recommended at all times and are mandatory for races and gate training. Participation in the Christmas Race Camp is recommended.

    Development Squad (Midweek Nights) - Ages 5yrs-13
    Same as above, offered Wednesday nights, 2 hour program for 8 weeks.

    Nancy Greene League - Ages 7-10yrs (Midweek Nights)
    Offered Wednesday nights, 2 hour program for 9 weeks.
    Will be required to race on one day on the weekends.

    Nancy Greene League - Ages 7-10yrs Sat . & Sun
    No race experience required, Sat & Sun. Skill development and having fun is priority to this entry level program. Focus is on team performance and scoring is based on top times of both male and female athletes on each team. Racers will participate in 2 giant slalom races , a slalom race and a terrain race during program. In addition to an introduction to racing, AOS sponsors interclub skill development days. Helmets are recommended at all times and are mandatory for races and gate training. Racers DO TRAVEL to other ski resorts for races. Participation in the Christmas Race Camp is recommended.
    Note: Team selection is based on the results from the Time Trials held on Dec.31st


    K1 League Series - Ages 11-12yrs Sat . & Sun
    This program is for graduates of the Nancy Greene League who wish to continue
    racing in the “team format”. First time racers are also welcome. The program
    includes training on Saturdays and Sundays plus competition in giant slalom and
    slalom as well as semi-finals and final races over a nine week period.
    Note: Team selection is based on the results from the Time Trials held on Dec.31st

    K2 Individual Series - Ages 13-14yrs Sat . & Sun
    The K2 League is for racers who cannot give the extensive training commitment required in the K2 Series and who prefer a team atmosphere. Skiers can race for the first time in this league. Time Trial results are required to join this travelling team. The program includes competition in giant slalom and slalom as well as semi-final and final races.

    J Individual Series - Ages 15-19yrs Sat . & Sun
    The J League is for racers who cannot give the extensive training commitment required for the J Series and who prefer a team atmosphere. Skiers can race for the first time in this league. Time Trail results are required to join this travelling team. The program includes competition in giant slalom and slalom as well as semi-final and final races. The optional dual slalom race is the highlight of the season. Winners of the All-Star Championship have an opportunity to participate in the J Series divisional races. Participation in all camps and training programs are recommended.

    Enhanced Division Programs - Ages 11-19yrs
    Horseshoe Resort has developed this option for Division Level Racers. Ages: K1 - 11-12yrs, K2- 13-14yrs, J1 - 15-19yrs Fall Camp, Christmas Camp, Division Racing Program, Dec. - Mar. and Midweek Training and Time Trials Dec.31st.

    Ski Racing Fall Race Camp  - 11YRS. & UP
    For Division, J1, and K1 & K2 racers. The camp is designed to work extensively on technical skills. Location: Monte-Sainte-Anne, Quebec

    Christmas Holiday Adult Race Camp - Ages 19yrs & Up
    This camp is designed for adults to introduce and develop racing skills in a fun and social environment.

    Christmas Holiday Race Camp - Ages 5yrs & Up
    For racers wishing ti join the league programs, team trails will take place on Dec. 31st.  Team Trials are part of this prgram and are required for League and Division level racing.

    March Break Race Camp
